Licensed Massage Therapist.  A graduate of the Virginia School of Massage, I am certified to practice by the National Certification Board for Massage and Bodywork and licensed by the Virginia Department of Health Professions. I am a member of the American Massage Therapy Association and I'm fully insured.  In addition, I am trained in Wilderness Rescue and as a First Responder.  My continuing education includes: prenatal massage, hot stone and aromatherapy.

Certified Lymphatic Therapist. In 2018, I trained with Carmen Thompson to become a certified lymphedema therapist. I specialize in Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) for post operative patients who have had body sculpting/cosmetic surgery. I also provide MLD for  patients with lymphedema and other swelling issues.

Acupressure Master. Unique to my practice, I routinely include acupressure during your massage session. Acupressure often provides immediate relief from acute or chronic pain and enhances any massage modality.    I am a certified G-Jo Acupressure Master.

In 2013, after intensive work experience as a senior massage therapist at the Homestead Resort/Canyon Ranch, I returned to the Charlottesville area to meet the needs of those seeking world-class therapeutic massage services in the central Virginia area. I provide Homestead Resort quality services to you at a fraction of the cost!

 

My office practice is   located at  103 A Free Bridge Lane, Charlottesville,  VA in the offices of Dr Meghan Dickerson, D.C.

With advanced planning,  I also provide  professional, therapeutic mobile massage services to clients with mobility issues in the Charlottesville area (city of Charlottesville, Albemarle, Fluvanna, Nelson, Greene and Louisa). And I will work with you or your organization to provide table or chair massage at your place of business, in your office or at your special event/retreat.
